COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccination Update

Free flu shots and updated COVID-19 vaccines are now available at participating pharmacies and primary care provider offices. Huron Perth Public Health will not be holding COVID-19 or flu shot clinics this fall for the general public.  

In November, HPPH will offer COVID-19 vaccine clinics for children aged 11 years and younger only. Appointments are required and can be made online at www.ontario.ca/book-vaccine.

Huron Perth Public Health uses a strategic approach to respond to emergencies with a public health impact, including: 

  • assessment of potential health hazards in Huron and Perth 
  • procedures for prevention and mitigation 
  • preparedness 
  • communication 
  • response 
  • recovery 

Emergency Response Plans 

On January 1, 2020, the Perth District Health Unit and Huron County Health Unit merged to become Huron Perth Public Health. We are currently in the process of combining our emergency response and health response plans. In the event of an emergency, we have the following response plan available:
