Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is responsible for inspecting:
- Food premises
- Recreational water facilities (e.g., public pools and spas)
- Personal services settings (e.g., beauty salons, tanning beds, and tattooing establishments)
- Recreational camps
- Licensed child care settings
- Small drinking water systems
Routine and complaint-based inspections are conducted to ensure these establishments are providing safe services to consumers by meeting health standards.
We inspect regulated health professionals (e.g., doctors, dentists, chiropractors) only when we receive a complaint. We are not authorized to routinely inspect places where regulated health professionals work.
