Dog Involved in a Biting Incident in Stratford

Huron Perth – Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is looking for a dog involved in a biting incident in Stratford.

The incident occurred on Thursday December 21, 2023, between 1 and 1:15 p.m. at a parking lot located adjacent to Schaeffler Aerospace Canada Inc. building in Stratford.

The dog involved is described as a boxer, with short hair, 80-90 pounds, wearing a black winter coat, with white markings on the face.

The owner is described appearing to be in his 50's, tall, thin and wearing a dark coloured hat and mittens.

HPPH is investigating this incident to verify if the dog is up-to-date on its rabies vaccination. If the dog is not found, the person who was bitten may need to complete a series of rabies shots.

HPPH reminds people to always obtain the contact information of the owners of the animal involved in a biting incident.
